Another Park Post

This time we went to what we call the secret park. You can't see it from the street and it's right in the middle of a very hilly and wooded neighborhood. You have to drive down a very long driveway, but at the bottom, it opens up to this pretty good sized park. There are ramadas (or covered shelters for those of you from the mid-west), tennis ball courts, a playground, and a little stream and trail that walks through a some woods next to the stream. It's an oasis within an oasis. That's the only way to describe a park that feels like you're in the mountains within a town that feels like you live in a park. I love it here.
My boys at the beginning of the trail. Despite the somber faces, they really were excited and happy. They might just be getting tired of posing for photos.
This is the tree they were standing next to. It was so cool the way it curved up over the trail. I love the bark, such deep textures.
